2015 New Bag Tag rules
ADGA Bag Tag Rules
2015 Bag Tag Layout
Conduct
1. All members are to conduct themselves according to the rules and the spirit of competition.
Have fun, it is only a tag. The purpose of the bag tag is to encourage friendly competition amongst the Abilene Disc Golf Association Members.
2. In order for the bag tag challenge to work, individuals must accept as many challenges as possible.
3. Tags must be made visible any time you are on the course. They should be on your bag, not stored in wallets, etc.
4. If you attempt to conceal a tag, it is at the discretion of the ADGA board of directors to remove your tag from play. If you fail to surrender your tag at the request of the board, your tag will then become void.
Any member can challenge any tag in their own division. To move up in division, you must have the number 1tag in your division. You must have defended this tag a minimum of three times, at this point you may challenge anyone from the next division. If you win the challenge, you bump the opponent back to your former division, you will then take their place in the new division. If the challenge is lost, you must defend your tag three more times before another challenge may be made to advance to the next division. The challenger must give the challenged player two times/chances to meet within 30 days time. The challenged player picks the course, format play. Format play is limited to stroke play or match play. The challenged player sets rules for the round. No doubles/teams in tag challenges. A minimum of 9 holes must be played in a challenge, as set forth and agreed upon before the round. Back to back challenges can be refused if not set up before the round began. Ie: if, upon losing, the member issues a second challenge to immediately follow the lost round, the challenged has the right to refuse and or reschedule the round.
Incomplete rounds: If a player does not complete the round for any reason, they must exchange tags with the highest tag present in their division. Leniency may be shown, but only if all players present agree.
Tournament/league style play (including minis)
All players will be placed on a card, the card has a minimum of 3 players with a maximum of 5. All players must compete with tags in their own division at any tournament, sanctioned or not. Players using different tees in tournaments can only challenge other players using same tees at that event. Ties will be determined by the players involved in the tie: hole by hole, ctp, etc.
At any time, any grievance between members regarding challenges may be brought to the TD or a board member for resolution.
A face book page will be designated for all tag challenges. Challenges will need to be issued/ recorded here along with which tag number each possess. The winner will report the results of the challenge. In the event that a member does not participate on FB, the other member will need to report the challenge/results. On the first of every month, members will need to report their division/tag number on the face book page. Recreational tags/challenges will not be posted here. Those are solely for casual rounds and can be exchanged with anyone regardless of their division.

A mando pole was installed at Will Hair park for use during the Wild Hair event. This pole, located next to hole three's teebox, was installed for player safety. At the Warm up event on Saturday, the board members discussed making this mando pole a permanent change to the course for all mini's and tournaments. All board members and ADGA members present voted unanimously to make the new mando permanent.
